Ticket Policies and Information

Who You Are Buying From

The Fine Arts Ticket Office acts as the ticketing agent of those who are presenting, promoting, or otherwise providing the events (i.e. FSU College of Music, Flying High Circus, School of Dance, School of Theatre) for which you purchase tickets, such as venues, organizations, departments, artists’ representatives and fan clubs (“Event Providers”). The Fine Arts Ticket Office facilitates your purchase of an Event Provider’s tickets via tickets.fsu.edu and/or the Fine Arts Ticket Office phone line and in person. The Fine Arts Ticket Office sells tickets on behalf of Event Providers, which means we do not set ticket prices or determine seating availability. Tickets for popular events may sell out quickly. Occasionally, additional tickets may become available prior to the event. However, the Fine Arts Ticket Office does not control this inventory or availability.

Tickets obtained from unauthorized sources may be lost, stolen or counterfeit, and if so are void.

Each ticket that you purchase is a license to attend a particular event, and is subject to the additional terms set forth on that ticket as well as any applicable terms which the venue imposes. Tickets are a revocable license and may be taken up and admission refused upon refunding the purchase price. The holder of tickets agrees not to engage in photography or reproduction in any form of the event for which tickets are issued. Violation of the foregoing will automatically terminate the license. Any processing charges paid on tickets are NONREFUNDABLE in the case of cancellation of the event. Tickets will not be taken back for refund unless an event is cancelled and not rescheduled.

  • Adverse weather including snow, frost, fog or storm where the Government have issued travel warnings.

Before purchasing tickets, carefully review your event and seat choices. The Fine Arts Ticket Office acts as an agent for the Event Provider and policies set forth by our clients, including venues, organizations, departments, artists’ representatives and fan clubs, generally prohibit the Fine Arts Ticket Office from issuing refunds after a ticket has been purchased. You agree that you will not attempt to evade, avoid, or circumvent those prohibitions in any manner with regard to tickets you purchased. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, you will not contact the Fine Arts Ticket Office to seek a refund from the Fine Arts Ticket Office when the Fine Arts Ticket Office is prohibited from providing one by its clients, and you will not dispute or otherwise seek a “chargeback” from the company whose credit card you used to purchase tickets from the Fine Arts Ticket Office. Should you do so, your tickets may be canceled, and the Fine Arts Ticket Office may, in its sole discretion, refuse to honor pending and future ticket purchases made from all credit card accounts or online accounts on which such chargebacks have been made, and may prohibit all persons in whose name the credit card accounts exist and any person who accesses any associated online account or credit card or who otherwise breaches this provision from using tickets.fsu.edu or the Fine Arts Ticket Office services.

Occasionally, events are canceled or postponed by the Event Provider. Should this occur, we will attempt to contact you to inform you of refund or exchange procedures for that event, as provided by the Event Provider. The Fine Arts Ticket Office acts as the agent of the Event Provider and as such typically only offers refunds and/or exchanges based on the Event Provider’s instructions. The Fine Arts Ticket Office is not obligated to issue a refund except to the extent that the Event Provider responsible for bringing you the event (1) instructs us to issue a refund, and (2) provides us with the funds necessary to issue refunds. If an event is canceled, please contact the Fine Arts Ticket Office for information on receiving a refund. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the Event Provider may set refund limitations. Contact the Fine Arts Ticket Office for exact instructions. Please make sure to include/provide your order number so we can expedite your refund if applicable. In order to receive a refund or an exchange that may be offered, you will have to comply with the Event Provider's instructions or deadlines, which, along with the decision about whether or not to issue a refund or an exchange, may be at the Event Provider's discretion.

If the Fine Arts Ticket Office issues you a refund for a ticket, it will issue a refund of the ticket’s face value paid (or, if a discounted ticket, then instead the discounted ticket price paid). In no event will delivery charges or any other fees or amounts be refunded. If a refund is issued, it will be issued by check through the Florida State University cashier's office and may take up to three (3) weeks for processing. The Fine Arts Ticket Office will not be liable for travel or any other expenses that you or anyone else incurs in connection with a canceled or postponed event.

We cannot offer refunds due to scheduling conflicts, illness, or other personal issues.

If an event is rescheduled you will receive updated tickets reflecting the new date and time.

Ticket Exchanges

Guests wishing to be seated together must order at the same time. Tickets for some events with multiple dates can be exchanged for alternate dates or seating locations of that same event by calling or visiting the Fine Arts Ticket Office. Tickets cannot be exchanged between events as each show is unique and funds are not transferable from one event to another. Exchanges are only available for tickets of the same price type, and does not apply for exchanging into a discounted price. Discounts do not apply to previously purchased tickets. If the exchange is for a higher-priced ticket, you are responsible for the difference in cost. If the exchange is for a lower-priced ticket, the difference will not be refunded per the No Refunds policy. Additional delivery fees may apply for exchanged tickets. Please see Ticket Delivery for further information.

There is a $5 per-ticket fee for all exchanges.

*Tickets purchased through third-party ticketing sites are not eligible for ticket exchanges or refunds.
*Complimentary tickets cannot be exchanged.
